Need some extra help this month?
Make sure you don’t get scammed! Each week the Badger Bulletin will be publishing the FCA Warning List of firms trying to scam you. Want to see the full list? Here’s a link: FCA Warning List
FCA Scammer List For W/E 06/06/25
The Financial Conduct Authority keeps an updated list of all the licensed firms in the UK called the Register. They also keep a list of firms known to them who are trying to scam you and the link for that is above titled FCA Warning List. Each week Badger Loans will publish the latest list of unauthorised scam firms and what are known as ‘Clone’ firms. Clone firms are people or companies who look like genuine, authorised firms but in reality are unauthorised scammers pretending to be the real deal. Badger Loans have had experience of people trying to do this to our customers. You can read about that here.
You wouldn’t buy a car without first checking the finance so don’t take out a loan before checking it’s coming from a real lender!
🚨 SCAM BUSTER – w/e 6th June FCA scam List
These firms are all on the FCA Warning List. Avoid them like the plague.
Clone and Impersonator Loan Firms
This motley crew are pretending to be real, FCA-authorised firms but they’re nothing of the sort. No new dodgy loan firms this week but plenty of crypto and forex! We won’t usually publish crypto scammers but today we make an exception!
Fraud Guard Agency
A laughable name considering they’re the ones committing the fraud. No authorisation, no morals, no shame and no refund.Lenders Care (Clone)
Claiming to be a caring lender but the reality is they care only about your bank details. The real Lenders Care is not lending at present.LendersList.co.uk
Sounds helpful, right? In truth, it’s a front for unauthorised loan dealings. No FCA licence and definitely not your friend. They have disappeared.Focus Finance & Marketing
More scam than strategy. They appear to offer financial solutions but deliver nothing but risk. Stay well clear. Possible catalogue/club fraud.London Investment Bank (Clone)
Super Loan Ltd/ Purple Loan (Clone)
The genuine Purple Loan have ceased trading unsecured loans for the time being.
A perfect example of if it sounds too good to be true then it always is. See below for more on these types of scams. This is a crypto/forex scam but so convincing we would likely have fallen for it a few years ago. Not now though…
The One-Man Bands of Scam Sites
These all appear to be linked. They’ve got very similar branding and near-identical site layouts. They are most likely operated by the same group. If you come across any of these, run. If you can’t run, head in the opposite direction. Quickly.
National Union Finance
Credit Union GB
CapitalCityPay.com
Premier Axis Finance
First City Mortgages
Assesetisiminvest.com
A mouthful to say and a warning in itself. Likely meant to confuse search engines and victims alike. Avoid completely.
🦡 Badger Tip:
Every firm here is listed on the official FCA Warning List — double-check before you hand over any information and NEVER hand over upfront fees. For ANY reason. If you're unsure, drop us a line at [email protected]
